What they have done recently with the normal nerfs are making people speculate about the removal of LFR in Legion

I get it for balancing issues but I mean, they already have flex scaling with other difficulties.

I honestly believe that they need to bring back to old difficulty style of the raids. Where normal is what heroic is now, and Mythic goes back to being heroic. Because if they decide to run raids like they are doing now, where LFR and normal are essentially the same thing, what is the point of both being there? Additionally, the requirement of 20 people being needed to do the end game content kind of bugs me. We shouldnt have to rely on all 20 people to show up in order to finish the raiding tier.

Unfortunately a large amount of the player base isn't really concerned with being even a mid level raider. They make content like that as almost a tourist mode for players so they can see the content, but just not at it's most difficult. I get why they made the decision to do that, but I believe it's counter productive. I think having difficult content locked off from the rest of people brings prestige and a sense of wanting to get better to see the content.

I think LFR is a good example of this. All the mechanics are just so tuned down they can all be ignored, the fight might as well just be a giant punching bag. They're only there to make the fight look flashy and in the end what are you learning?

I agree, I am kinda pissed that they are doing this, but at the same time if they plan to go with this in Legion I think it would be better to do it for an easier difficulty. Say if you were to instead of taking it out alltogether you just nerfed it so that it just did no damage. You would be told to just ignore it because it wasnt worth doing it, and when you get into Heroic all of a sudden you now HAVE to do it. Condradicting what you have probably already etched into your brain

Regardless of how you look at it I never agree with removing mechanics from Normal and above, just adjust the numbers. When they removed Gyser from Heroic Rags in Fireland I about lost it, that one single mechanic WAS the entire 4th phase.

And yet people still wipe on it.

Wait... So now LFR is Normal, but normal is the same as heroic, and heroic is a step up from LFR, but normal is the same as heroic just scaled up, and mythic is a step up from heroic... But LFR is the same as normal. I don't think this is working too well
